AMC planning to accept SHIB in the coming quarter.

At the request of the CEO of the world’s largest movie exhibition company, AMC Entertainment, payment service provider Bitpay has agreed to support the meme cryptocurrency shiba inu (SHIB). Within the next few months, AMC will be able to take shiba inu cryptocurrency as payment.

AMC CEO Adam Aron said on twitter that the meme cryptocurrency shiba inu will soon be accepted (SHIB). AMC is the world’s biggest movie theater chain, with locations in the United States, Europe, and Asia. As of March 31, the firm owned or operated about 950 cinemas and 10,500 screens across the world.

He stated that the crypto payment service company Bitpay has chosen to offer shiba inu since he expressly requested it. As a result, AMC will be able to accept SHIB for online payments of movie tickets and refreshments within 60 to 120 days. Aron also stated that the theater will be the first Bitpay client to accept shiba inu.

The CEO previously stated that his organization has been looking for a solution to take SHIB since he set up a Twitter poll on Oct. 29 asking his fans if AMC should accept shiba inu alongside dogecoin (DOGE) and other cryptocurrencies. A total of 153,100 ballots were cast, with 87.6 percent voting “Yes.”

Last week, Aron tweeted: “As promised, many new ways now to pay online at AMC. We proudly now accept: drumroll, please … bitcoin, ethereum, bitcoin cash, litecoin. Also Apple Pay, Google Pay, Paypal. Incredibly, they already account for 14% of our total online transactions! Dogecoin next.”

While many people expected AMC to accept the four cryptocurrencies through Bitpay, the movie theater chain instead added Paypal as a payment option that “supports cryptocurrencies.”

While Paypal does support cryptocurrencies — the same four that AMC allows — clients must acquire them through Paypal because the platform does not allow coins to be transferred to or from it. Customers must sell their coins before making a purchase and utilize the earnings to complete the buy.

Paypal began providing its users the opportunity to pay for products and services using Paypal balance, either in fiat cash or cryptocurrencies, in March through a program named “Checkout with Crypto.”
