A group of angel investors has given $1 million to VerseHub, a Vietnamese technology firm. The firm creates technological items based on the Metaverse virtual universe’s trend.
Metaverse initiatives have been a hot trend in the international technology industry when Facebook changed its name to Meta and declared it will pursue the building of a virtual world.
The startup is backed by an unknown group of investors led by GameFi. VerseHub’s founders have had firsthand experience developing Metaverse solutions even before the concept became popular.
Canh Ho, co-founder and CTO of VerseHub, stated that he initially intended to establish a firm in the United Kingdom, but that the company would soon relocate to Vietnam in order to contribute to the expansion of the entrepreneurial spirit in his hometown.
The company had been incubating the concept for six months before securing money from a group of investors lead by Gamefi, according to Canh Ho, and had turned down several requests to collaborate.
VerseHub’s creators desired to create a long-term product rather than a short-term profit. As a result, the research team had been discreetly carrying out their study for a long period before seeking financial financing.
Before VerseHub, another Vietnamese Metaverse firm, Meta Spatial, had successfully obtained financing from a variety of investment funds, including Animoca Brands, which was a significant investor in Axie Infinity’s initial round of funding.
