Press release
TAIPEI, December 9, 2021 – Figures Protocol, in its mission to redefine the nature of digital visual media as property, recently released the world’s first 3rd Internet search engine for NFT.
Since the Planet Wide Net was first conceived in the early 1990s, there have been significant updates from the “Static Web” of the World Wide Web 1. to the “Social Web” of the Internet 2. Although the Net 2. has become a necessity for both Individuals as well as organizations around the world, but a number of problems have prevented this from happening. The centralization of Net 2. has created problems with censorship, data manipulation and algorithm-driven data profiling search results, which continue to hinder users’ searches.
Web 3., the “Semantic Web”, represents the next stage in the evolution of the web, a decentralized platform that focuses on content-based search results. Figures Protocol is proud to be at the forefront of the World Wide Web with an innovative search engine for NFT 3. In line with the core values and characteristics of the World Wide Web 3.
Numbers Search Engine for NFT has two main components: content-based and web-based 3. As a content-based search engine, users can upload files without knowing the code address, message or token ID and the results show the history and other details associated with the NFT file are connected. In Net 3. each asset file has a unique address that is generated by the distributed IPFS World Wide Web system. During the search, the search engine can use this CID to find important information about the asset file.
The results of the search provide a wealth of information about the NFT, such as: B. Token history, token ID, contract ID, creator ID, current owner ID and market affiliation. This information can help users better understand how “unique” the NFT is based on the number of tokens in circulation. The NFT search engine can also easily identify potential violations, such as multiple creator addresses.
Currently, search engine coverage includes leading markets such as OpenSea, Basic, Rarible, SuperRare, Refinable and CaptureClub with the hope of full coverage soon. Further information on the Quantities NFT Search Engine can be found here.
As NFTs grow in popularity, the data behind NFTs becomes critical, not only for on-chain data sets, but also for the physical storage behind NFT files. In addition to continuously increasing data coverage and expanding Search Engine to other networks such as Binance Intelligent Chain, Search Engine will also ensure the traceability of NFT files.
Bofu Chen, founder and trainer of Quantities Protocol, said, “During development, we found that over 80% of NFTs are actually hosted on central servers, and 35% of them are actually missing and inaccessible. While indexing NFTs is an important first step, the accessibility of these digital assets is just as important. In order for the World Wide Web 3. to flourish, all NFT files must be pinned to a decentralized storage facility such as Filecoin’s NFT storage facility (https://nft.storage/). Only when content retrieval is guaranteed can NFTs be truly valuable assets in Website3. ”
Andrew Woo, Operations Manager at Protocol Labs said, “We have seen explosive activity in the NFT over the past year, reflecting the potential of the World Wide Web 3. and the opportunities for creators and communities. Not yet a great system for indexing these NFTs, however. Quantities’ NFT search engine offers better space accessibility and authenticity. “
Figures Protocol firmly believes in the vision and principles of the World Wide Web 3rd and is committed to developing the 3rd Internet ecosystem with its decentralized image network and 3rd Net search engine for NFT. Users can try the beta version of Numbers’ NFT search engine at https: //nftsearch.web-site/.
Numbers is building a decentralized photo network to create community, value, and trust in digital media. The Figures Protocol redefines the nature of digital visual media as the asset and backbone of the toolkit for registering and retrieving photos and videos on the Numbers Network – the Photo App, API Seal, and Page Network Tracking – along with the CaptureClub Marketplace and an exclusive NFT search engine. Numbers protect the purity of digital media and allow people to think more critically about the interaction between our images and the world around us.
