Solana and Opera Form a Partnership

On Friday, Opera signed a collaboration with Solana Labs to bring native support for the renowned blockchain, allowing it to operate a native Solana wallet alongside all of the ecosystem’s dApps.

Solana and The Popular Browser Platform Form a Partnership

The popular browser team stated on that the integration will be available in Q1 2022. By then, consumers should be able to experience all of the blockchain’s benefits in desktop and mobile browsers without any limitations.

Opera joins forces with @Solana!???? The integration will enable Android users to enjoy seamless access to Solana DApps alongside low-fees and fast transactions within the ecosystem. You’ll be able to access it through Opera in Q1 2022.

It’s not unexpected that the opera is fascinated in Solana. Since at least 2018, the browser has taken a more focused approach to cryptocurrency compatibility, blockchain technology, and so-called Web 3.0.

The news does not appear to have sparked much interest in the markets. The browser’s stock concluded Friday’s trading session at $7.24, a -4.36% decrease from the $6.96 it began the week at.

Solana’s price trend, for its part, did not respond to the news, continuing on the negative path it began in early November, just after its ATH. SOL, Solana’s native token, finished the day down 7.86% at $166.97. At the time of writing, the price has corrected to $169.21, which is still about 35% below its ATH and represents a 14% decrease in weekly results.

Brace Browser

Despite some criticism, Brave has long been the unquestioned champion of crypto-browsers. The browser is even supported by its own blockchain, with the BAT token serving as the foundation for a new ecosystem aimed at rethinking the economics of advertising and content promotion by paying users for seeing advertisements and allowing the communities to reward great content providers.

Opera, on the other hand, has chosen a more realistic approach. They have not created a cryptocurrency and have no desire to create a new experience, yet their browser has adapted to Web3 like no other. In addition to Solana, the browser includes a native cryptocurrency wallet, Dapp support, and other blockchain-related capabilities.
