The fashion and luxury brand Dolce and Gabbana has announced the launch of the exclusive NFT collection in collaboration with UNXD – a digital marketplace operated by Polygon Network that hopes to become an exclusive marketplace for digital luxury and digital culture.
The first NFT collection of the fashion brand is named Collezione Genesi, or Genesis Collection. Dolce and Gabbana will present the collection at the end of August at the upcoming shows for Alta Moda, Alta Sartoria and Alta Goilleria in Venice. The collection focuses on the deeply rooted artistic traditions of Venice.

The first idea of the collection was inspired by the dream of the two designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana L’abito dei Sogni, or dress from a dream. Additional NFTs from the Collezione Genesi collection will be unveiled in the weeks leading up to the Alta Moda, Alta Sartoria and Alta Goilleria exhibitions. All will be auctioned exclusively on UNXD.
Dolce and Gabanna’s NFT isn’t the first high-end fashion house to enter the NFT market. Designers attending Paris Fashion Week will have some NFTs available, with Gucci rumored to be joining the NFT space as well.
Even as the prices of many cryptocurrencies fall, NFTs remain strong, with more and more new additions to the market. LABS Group recently combined real estate with NFT, which enables people to buy shares in their resorts using popular token technology. Artists like Muse have continued to develop more NFTs as brands, nonprofits, and organizations all step into the growing market.
