Nolcha Shows: NFT Edition in Art Basel is a hit with excellent NFT artists

Now in its 14th year, the Nolcha Shows are a recognized platform for discovery and a vehicle for highlighting current and emerging global fashion designers during New York Fashion Week. The company is always well informed about what’s very trendy, new and in development. Nolcha’s latest attempt? NFT. On December 1, 2021, Nolcha Exhibits will dive deeper into the world of digital NFT art during Artwork Basel Miami and present artists at the Hyde, SLS Resort South Beach.

It’s no secret that NFTs, or non-fungible tokens, have been taking the art world by storm lately. Attend the Nolcha Exhibits NFT Edition, a curated event showcasing digital NFT art, large format sculptures, augmented reality, and live performances. On December 1, the NFT version of Nolcha Displays featured the following talented artists including Demsky, Zevi G, Inkas from the Sherman Brothers, and Young & Ill.

NFTs are displayed on modern Whim screens. Whim is a new category device that is revolutionizing the user experience of the digital life.

Artifact Know-how published its NFT keychain on its website and Les Pommes launched the world’s first decentralized ticketing and event management platform for live, online and metaverse events. Guests can enjoy D’ussé’s special cocktails, live performances by Ricardo Ralph Lopez, opera singer Charlotte Ushela, violin and music by DJ Lexey, among other things.

Bringing fashion to the event, Holaplex has partnered with Asher Levine to showcase NFT fashion. Levine’s most recent design work was featured in Lil Nas X’s online music video “Montero,” Doja Cat’s MTV VMA appearance, and more. He will auction his fashion pieces on Holaplex.

Inkas from Sherman Brothers NFT Selection

Inkas the Ramferinkas is a 70 year old original animated musical by the Oscar-winning Sherman Brothers.

The Sherman Brothers are arguably the most successful songwriting team in Hollywood history and lag behind the songs of Mary Poppins, the book The Jungle E, Winnie the Pooh and many others. Sherman Brothers NFT’s Inkas series includes online video clips and song clips from the original, never-before-seen animated film.

The first NFT in the series is a unique video clip sequence and comes with an original, physical, hand-drawn storyboard from the animation. The drawing in this series was created by Oscar and BAFTA nominated animator Tim Watts.

WOODEN Zevi

Zevi G is a world-renowned contemporary artist known for his iconic large-scale sculptures. He celebrated the upcoming launch of his 456 Collection Club, a unique collection of 4,560 NFTs that blends modern art and technology. The 456 Collection Club is the first general collection to continuously reward all owners of limited edition physical artwork by a respected modern artist.

The first set of redeemable works of art is a print with each NFT’s own signature and a 7-inch sculpture with an NFC chip to provide the owner with a seamless digital experience.

On the event site, Zevi G also featured a 6 foot bronze sculpture entitled “Capture the Moment”.

Young & fat

The Dutch born artist Nick van Hofwegen (aka) Young & sick) has developed at the intersection of art and music his entire life, creating stunning imagery for artists from Foster The Persons and Maroon 5 to Young Thug and Machine Gun Kelly as well as Austin Town Boundaries, Outside the house Lands and more. A musician himself, his songs have allowed him to grace some of the most famous stages in the country and the world and have been released on record labels such as Capitol Records, Neon Gold and B3SCI. His recent foray into the NFT and digital art space has put him at the forefront of a new digital art revolution.

Demsky

Rooted in the graffiti boom of the 90s, Demsky is a modern and iconic artist known internationally for his work on the streets of more than 50 countries, on gallery walls, underwater and now in the Metaverse.

Demsky and augmented reality pioneers Anima presented their reality-warping NFT collaboration along with a new physical sculpture from Demsky’s Period SN series, Anima – Demsky MN-1

NFTs will transport their holders to geolocated hotspots to undergo evolution and unlock new properties and materials.
