Elon Musk: Metaverse hasn’t got a hot case yet, Neuralink takes you into the real virtual world

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, does not endorse the Metaverse and Web 3.0 ecosystems and says that this is just a word for marketing tactics. Elon Musk said In an interview with The Babylon Bee, when asked about his thoughts on the Metaverse Ecosystem, that:

“I’ve never seen anyone stuck to a screen around the clock. I don’t know if I really have to buy this, even though people tell me a lot about it. “

As for metaverse and virtual reality (VR), Musk sees no reason to give up the real world in order to someday live in a virtual one. Elon Musk shared his personal experience, adding that VR headsets are prone to motion sickness while gaming.

“In the long term, with a sophisticated Neuralink, you could immerse yourself in virtual reality without any VR glasses. Still, I don’t think the metaverse will go away, which sounds pretty commonplace. ”

Elon Musk founded Neuralink, a neurotechnology company with the main purpose of placing implants in the human brain to restore and improve physical performance through computers.

“I haven’t seen any compelling cases of Metaverse or Web 3.0 that sound more like marketing than reality. I don’t understand, and maybe I will, but now I don’t understand. ”

Elon Musk also emphasized that people won’t like to move around, they will have to wear VR headsets all day. He also recalls being warned as a kid not to sit too close to the TV:

“It will damage your eyesight, won’t it? And now we literally have television (on our face) here. Is that good for you?”

In addition to his role as a supporter of Dogecoin (DOGE), Musk has recently expressed support for the cryptocurrency by calling it indestructible and essentially aiming to reduce the power of a government. Musk said at the Code Conference in California:

“Cryptocurrency cannot be destroyed, but governments can slow its development.”

The billionaire also suggested that the US government should “stand still” when asked about its stance on crypto regulations.
