Blue Monster Games Acquires Citadel Studios in First-Time Traditional Game “Enhancement”

GAINESVILLE, FL, December 22, 2021 – Blue Monster Games, the blockchain gaming studio behind Realms of Ethernity, has signed an agreement to acquire popular recreational indie developer Citadel Studios, creators of Legends of Aria, a popular mmog sandbox released in 2019 .

Once the deal is closed, the Citadel Studios team will join Blue Monster Games, with Citadel founder Derek Brinkmann joining as chief technology officer. Derek will bring back his rich 17 years of game development experience starting with the days of Ultima On on the internet in 2006 where he worked as a senior developer for over six years and overseeing the release of several expansion packs.

In addition, Blue Monster Games has full access to the source code of Citadels Shards Motor, a powerful 3D engine optimized for Mmo that supports thousands of players in a single virtual world.
