Blue Monster Games Acquires Citadel Studios in First-Time Traditional Game “Enhancement”

Press release

GAINESVILLE, FL, December 22, 2021 – Blue Monster Games, the blockchain gaming studio behind Realms of Ethernity, has signed an agreement to acquire popular recreational indie developer Citadel Studios, creators of Legends of Aria, a popular mmog sandbox released in 2019 .

Once the deal is closed, the Citadel Studios team will join Blue Monster Games, with Citadel founder Derek Brinkmann joining as chief technology officer. Derek will bring back his rich 17 years of game development experience starting with the days of Ultima On on the internet in 2006 where he worked as a senior developer for over six years and overseeing the release of several expansion packs.

In addition, Blue Monster Games has full access to the source code of Citadels Shards Motor, a powerful 3D engine optimized for Mmo that supports thousands of players in a single virtual world. Developers can also program add-ons and mods for any game based on shards using the Lua programming language, a powerful and popular choice for in-game scripting. In addition, Shards Motor includes pre-built systems for groups, guilds, crafting and skill systems that are essential for any role-playing sport.

This acquisition also marks the first time an existing AAA game will be updated with blockchain and world-wide-web mechanics 3. “hyperdiversifying” it with impossible tokens, changes (NFT) and token-based in-game games becomes currencies. Legends of Aria is expected to be the first entry into Realms of Ethernity’s “meta-metaverse” concept, and RETH holders will have exclusive access to the original Legends of Legends DEX offering. Aria (IDO) will be announced shortly.

Realms of Etherity is a metaverse MMO game where players can purchase land, boats, mounts, and all sorts of other equipment needed to survive. RoE is a dangerous and lawless environment where players always run the risk of losing their valuable assets. Players can join clans to protect themselves and even attack themselves to fight with other clans for booty and glory.

Realms of Ethernity is powered by the RETH token, which provides administrative rights for the platform and an exclusivity level for participating in connected metavers. RETH will have an in-game utility and it will be available for holders to wager and earn rewards.

Joseph Rubin, co-founder of Blue Monster Games, said, “Realms of Etherity is not just a normal metaverse game, it will be a metaverse eating up the game world. “Our acquisition of Citadel Studios is the first step towards that vision. We’ll be adding metaverse elements to their existing games which will then become a full part of the Realms of Ethernity metaverse! We expect further acquisitions of this kind in the coming months. “

“We are excited to partner with Blue Monster Video Games to develop the next generation of online games within the BMG multiverse,” said Derek Brinkmann. “I founded Citadel Studios to enable intermediaries to create stories in the virtual world that come to life and are real. In those eight years we’ve made history by bringing an original sandbox mmo sport to our players while creating unforgettable memories and relationships with our players. I am excited to join Blue Monster Games and take this technology to the next level, to bring the world to life and breathe the supermarket. ”
