Two brothers set up a trap to rob a real estate agent after losing money

Ho Si Nam Trung, 37 years old, claimed to have suffered a loss from playing coins and invited his brother Ho Nguyen Trung (25 years old) to buy a house to rob two women.

Nam Trung and Nguyen Trung were charged with robbery in the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Court on December 22; Fraud to acquire property and use forged documents from government agencies and organizations.

Speaking to the jury, the Trung brothers said that three years ago, because they had invested all their capital in game coins but had lost, they intended to steal money in order to spend money and pay off debts.

The two planned to rent a luxury apartment in District 2 (now Thu Duc City) and then contact the owner or real estate agent for advice on buying a home. Next, the Trung brothers will control and force them to give money and property.

In order to implement the plan, the two rental apartments in the Imperia Apartment, An Phu Ward, District 2nd appointment were made to come to their apartment. I asked for advice “buy another apartment”.

As this woman walked into the apartment, the Trung brothers took her under control with knives and demanded money, “otherwise they will kill”. The two tied their hands and feet with cables and stuffed towels into the victim’s mouth. They forced her to provide bank account information and then used the victim’s phone to log in multiple times to transfer VND 200 million to her account. After receiving the money, the two locked Ms. Dung in her room and then left the home.

Ms. Dung found an escape route herself and reported it to the police. The Trung brothers were arrested while shopping in the supermarket.

With this trick, the Trung brothers pretended to rent an apartment in the Thao Dien Pearl Apartment a few days earlier and then called the owner to come and complete the transaction. The owner is also “trapped”, tied up and robbed an iPhone and forced VND 10 million to be transferred to a Nam Trung account on his behalf using a forged ID card.

In addition, during this time, Nam Trung also rented a Mercedes-Benz car from a company for use. Then he forged the registration certificate in his name and took the car to take 500 million dong.

During the trial, Nam Trung and his brother admitted the alleged behavior.

As a mastermind and leader, the court sentenced Nam Trung to a total of 25 years in prison for three crimes. Nguyen Trung was sentenced to 8 years in prison for robbery.
