In an online video in Spanish post on twitter 24, Mexican billionaire Ricardo Salinas Pliego recently encouraged fans to avoid fiat and invest in bitcoin. In particular, this isn’t the first time Salinas has sponsored the use of BTC.
“Stay away from fiat money,” said Salinas. “The dollar, the euro, the yen, the peso – it’s all the same story. It is counterfeit paper money and the central banks are producing more money than ever before. Invest in Bitcoin. ”

This is not the first time this has been Mexico’s third richest billionaire, according to Forbes
promote the use of BTC. Salinas tweeted on December 16 that the retailer Grupo Elektra, one of its Grupo Salinas group companies, will accept bitcoin payments.
Salinas also tweeted in June that he proposed Bitcoin and is working to make his bank, Banco Azteca, the first in Mexico to accept it. But that goal has yet to be seen. Mexico’s central bank quickly issued a statement the next day stating that crypto-assets like BTC are not legal tender and financial institutions are not allowed to offer monetary transactions.
