In the new year, Arcane Research offers traders a glimpse into the future of ETH and Coin Memes.
In report The Weekly Update, the crypto intelligence company, predicts that ETH will outperform Bitcoin in price development, but its market cap will continue to lag behind Bitcoin.
Ethereum’s valuation is currently around $ 490 billion while that of BTC is $ 1 trillion.

But Ethereum is also exposed to threats from other Layer 1 networks.
In 2021, Solana (SOL), Avalanche (AVAX), Terra (LUNA), Fantom (FTM) and Harmony (ONE) outperformed ETH in terms of returns. LUNA posted the most gains with a 14.823% gain compared to Ethereum’s 460% gain.
The report says that the native tokens of these platforms will continue to outperform ETH for the next year as user adoption and capital inflows continue to increase, causing the prices of these coins to rise.
“The acceptance of layers other than Ethereum will continue to grow and they will continue to surpass ETH.”
As for memes coins like Dogecoin (DOGE) and Shiba Inu (SHIB) dog brands, the company predicts the majority of them will crumble to dust at some point after the big bull run in 2021.
“Most coin memes will slowly go to hell and become a relic of this absurd time of the year 2021.”
