Rapper Nas is set to sell the royalty rights to two of his songs (‘Ultra Black’ and ‘Rare’) as NFTs.
In collaboration with Royal — a song ownership platform in which Nas and The Chainsmokers invested last year – 760 tokens will be made available for ‘Ultra Black,’ the lead single from Nas’ Grammy Award-winning album ‘King’s Disease’.
“Having Nas be the first artist to sell royalty rights through Royal is an incredible affirmation of our mission” said Royal CEO and co-founder Justin Blau, also known as 3LAU. 3LAU is an experienced NFT creator who was one of the first in the music business to implement blockchain technology.
Nas said in a statement: “I am always looking for new and unique ways to connect with my fans”.
A limited supply of 760 tokens total will be available for Ultra Black. The drop is first come, first served.
Keeping the post-Grammy momentum, Nas and Hit-boy return with the lead single “Rare” off of King’s Disease II. The song shows that Nas is in rare form, cementing his spot as a veteran that’s still at the top of his game.
A limited supply of 1,110 tokens total will be available for Rare. The drop is first come, first served.
