Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin asked people to tell him the “craziest and most insensitive reviews” of him on Twitter and other social media platforms without everyone ever seeing it.
Buterin’s interesting inquiry is made in tweets on January 14th, in which he shared some of the criticisms some had of him. More than 500 users responded within 15 minutes of posting, although most were in favor of Buterin. The tweet has currently received more than 10,400 likes and more than 2,200 comments.
Dmitry, Vitalik’s father, also took part comment.
Vitalik himself was too Upload A tweet with a screenshot shows that he was “heavily criticized” twice on Reddit in 2017 and compared him to Hitler.
Ethereum was the early example of an ICO in the crypto space and one of the most successful, with an increase of more than 778,000% since 2015. But to this day it has been criticized as the currency. One user retweeted an image that was often seen during the 2017 ICO frenzy, describing Vitalik as the spider in charge of the Ethereum Ponzi network.
Not everyone took the criticism, however, and some users shared their favorite memes, including humorous puns.
Other users resorted to old memes showing Buterin as he got older and a headline from a hypothetical newscast that read, “Latest News: Ethereum 2.0 is finally out of the workshop”. This meme is meant to aim to criticize the long time the community has waited for Eth2 to launch.
While the tweet urged users to share “the craziest and most insensitive criticisms”, most users gave Buterin positive comments. One of them is John Lilic. ConsenSys alumni have pointed out that despite all the criticism, facts, or jokes, Buterin has worked hard to improve the space and help the market grow from zero.
