According to a recent Huobi survey, 7 out of 10 people have begun to invest in cryptocurrency.
Huobi interviewed 3,144 individuals in mid-December, 2021 to see how their view of the industry had changed over the previous year. Questions covered what cryptos they’d heard of, how much they’re investing in, what they believe about the industry’s future, and so on. They discovered that 28% of respondents already held cryptocurrency, and another 25% said that they did not hold cryptocurrency now, but they intended to do so in the future.
Furthermore, the majority of investors are new to the crypto space. According to Huobi’s report, 68% of crypto holders have only recently begun investing in cryptocurrency.
However, most investors remain cautious, either because they are fearful of the risks or because they lack the funds. 46% of cryptocurrency owners indicated they had less than $1,000, while another 25% said they had between $1,000 and $10,000. Only 26% reported having more than $10,000 in cryptocurrency assets.
However, it is still early in the game, and there is still space for improvement. 40% of crypto holders said they were seeking long-term investment chances. Only 18% said they were searching for short-term investment chances, and 7% said they bought in crypto because they ‘FOMO’.
