The 10 Most Expensive NFTs in 2021 (Updated)

2021 is the year that cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology are thriving, both in terms of capital markets and infrastructure development.

What caught the attention of the crypto community and mainstream market followers was the rapid growth of NFT.

This token will grow exponentially in 2021 as the digital space is reshaped by blockchain, where anything can be tokenized and turned into an NFT. With billions of dollars spinning in the industry, here are some of the most expensive NFTs to date.

10. Saving thousands of lives – $4.5 million

Save Thousands of Lives is an NFT founded by Noora Health, an organization saving the lives of people at risk of disease in South Asia. Follow ether scan, this artwork was sold in May 2021 for 1,337 ETH worth $4.5 million. Profits are distributed to the organization’s program to save the lives of babies.

9. That changed everything – $5.4 million

This Changed Everything is the NFT of the source code used for one of the earliest versions of the World Wide Web. It was sold to an anonymous user on June 30, 2021 for $5.4 million Sotheby’s.

This NFT offers a number of perks to the owner such as: B. a letter, a digital code poster written by British computer scientist and Internet inventor Sir Timothy John Berners-Lee, time-stamped documents documenting the history of the Internet in its infancy.

Finally, CryptoPunk got #3100 to sell for $7.58 million in the same month. This NFT is currently for sale for 35,000 ETH, around $100 million at press time.

4. Larva Labs, CryptoPunk #7523 – $11.75 million

CryptoPunk is an NFT collection that works on the Ethereum blockchain and features unique tokens.

In June 2021, the auction house Sotheby’s in London to sell CryptoPunk #7523 (aka “Covid Alien”) for $11.75 million, making it the most expensive CryptoPunk to date. This NFT is also one of the 9 rare “Alien Punk”.

3. Beeple, Human One – $29.98 million

The human is a dynamic, reproducible sculpture by Beeple. It depicts an astronaut wandering through different environments and may change depending on the artist. Beeple has promised to “update” Human One throughout his life so that the artwork is never static.

The concept attracted many investors at Christie’s and crypto billionaire Ryan Zurrer was the one who closed at $29,985,000 on December 9, 2021.

2. The first 5000 days – $69 million

Everydays: The First 5000 Days is also Beeple’s NFT. This artwork was auctioned at Christie’s at an initial price of around $100 set by brick-and-mortar customers.

On the contrary, crypto enthusiasts came up with huge numbers soon after. Since Beeple is a popular artist in the crypto art community with six-figure sales like Crossroad, it took just an hour for this NFT’s price to skyrocket to over $1 million. Finally, Everydays: The First 5000 Days sold for a “huge” $69 million on February 21, 2021.

This is an important work of art in the NFT community as it paves the way for the mainstream market to discover irreplaceable wealth.

Later, the work was acquired by MetaKovan – the anonymous founder of the investment fund NFT Metapurse. What’s interesting is that he wants people to download and copy the expensive artworks he bought. Because he believes in free information.

The Merge is a digital artwork by anonymous artist Pak. It was sold on 6/12/2021 for $91.8 million on the decentralized NFT market Nice goal.
