Axie Infinity has officially launched the RON token.
The mission of the famous game developer Sky Mavis is to create an immersive, fun and rewarding gaming experience for everyone. This is best facilitated on open, decentralized platforms that allow everyone to contribute, work, and thrive as a community. Ronin is a core component of this platform, designed to address the severe transaction bottlenecks encountered during the build and expansion of the flagship NFT game Axie Infinity over the past 4 years.
While Sky Mavis’ ambitions for Axie Infinity are huge, they believe the mission can only truly be achieved through a strong partnership with the next generation of NFT game developers to open new horizons. In addition, they have an extensive gaming ecosystem with a huge user base, community-owned protocols, diverse applications, and high liquidity.
RON is the governance token for the Ronin blockchain. Its main purpose is to secure and decentralize the network. Ronin will thrive when RON is in the hands of network builders and users.
Validators on Ronin must hold and stake RON to participate in block validation. You will be rewarded with RON in newly issued form and RON will be used to pay gas fees.
Holder RON can stake tokens with a validator to earn rewards and participate in network management. The fee structure and use of RON funds are potential future governance issues.
The release of RON will increase the stability of the ronin chain. Tokens are now used to pay for gas fees, significantly reducing transaction stops. This also means that the account can send more than 100 transactions per day!
