OnlyFans will only accept NFTs issued on the Ethereum blockchain and will display an Ethereum emblem on NFT profile images to authenticate them as genuine. According to Reuters, the company has introduced NFT profile pictures in December.

OnlyFans, which debuted in 2016, has become a common choice for content producers to commercialize their work by selling it to members. The move is just one of many recent several media organisations that have decided to jump into launching NFT profile pictures, including Twitter.

Non-fungible tokens, or NFTs, are a sort of digital asset that reside on the blockchain record-keeping system. People have been acquiring artwork and videos of sports highlights as NFTs as they have exploded in popularity over the last year.

Alphabet’s YouTube expanded on its own ambitions for NFTs this week, saying it may offer means to ensure the authenticity of digital assets using its video archive. NFT sales increased last year, but opponents say scammers, copyright theft, and other predatory activities are all too widespread.

Adam Mosseri, Instagram’s CEO, has also stated that the business is working on NFTs.
