Elon Musk has implied that Starlink, a satellite internet provider, may begin accepting Dogecoin, the largest meme coin.
To such a request from the community, the tech-billionaire reacted with the winking face emoji without any statement.
Starlink’s goal is to provide high-speed broadband internet to subscribers in the most distant parts of the world. After numerous launches, the company presently has over 2,000 operational satellites. The service is $99 per month in addition to the $499 for the hardware package.
Dogecoin payments may potentially be possible with SpaceX. $DOGE has already been accepted by the space exploration firm for a lunar mission dubbed DOGE-1, which is scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2022.
Tesla began accepting the dog meme coin as payment for some of its goods, causing the token’s price to skyrocket. Musk first revealed the proposal in December.
