In the last two days, Mutant Ape NFTs, the offspring of the famous NFT collection BAYC, has sold a number of NFT works, three of which have sold for more than 40 ETH. Previously, the Mutant Apes floor price ranged from 6 to 20 ETH. These could be the first signs of a price hike for this Ape NFT collection.
The NFT #5226, #14723, and #480, respectively, sold for 41 ETH, 41.3421 ETH, and 49 ETH. These high-priced purchases have led the NFT collection community to believe that its price will have the ability to rise crazily in the future like BAYC.
Javale McGee, an American professional basketball player for the Phoenix Suns and an NBA star, also announced his Mutant Ape #4606 NFT purchase on February 18.
Many celebrities have joined the digital asset booming with many NFTs’ massive purchases, especially NBA players. Last year, NBA superstar Steph Curry bought a Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT for $180,000 USD worth of ETH.
