Blockstream’s chief strategy officer, Samson Mow, has resigned from his position from the blockchain firm after five years. In the future, he intends to work on “nation-state Bitcoin adoption.”

Samson Mow indicated in a Tuesday Twitter thread that he will continue to be a “#BlockstreamSpy” after becoming dismissed from the Canada-based firm where he had employed since April 2017.

He stated that he will remain as CEO of Pixelmatic, a position that demands more “attention,” but that he planned to work on “nation-state Bitcoin acceptance” in the future.

Samson Mow was involved in the creation of a Bitcoin City in El Salvador. The purpose of the project is to harness geothermal energy from the country’s Conchagua volcano to power Bitcoin (BTC) mining in the innovative city that will be built at the mountain’s foot.

According to Pixelmatic’s CEO, a $1 million BTC price might help the Latin American country become “the financial center of the world.”

“It has an important role to play in the reformation of the old financial system,” the now-former Blockstream chief strategy officer stated, adding that he will continue to “support and push” for Blockstream’s Liquid sidechain-based settlement network.

He formerly worked as the director of production and executive producer at Ubisoft, as well as the chief operational officer of BTCC, the cryptocurrency exchange that powered one of the world’s largest mining pools at the time.

Mow, a long-time Bitcoin advocate, was recently selected to the Cointelegraph Top 100 for his work at Pixelmatic, Blockstream, the El Salvador project, and other businesses.
