Hacker Anonymous traded $44,280 in bitcoin for every Russian surrender tank

International hacking group Anonymous is said to be trying to bribe the demoralized Russian military by offering $44,280 worth of bitcoin (BTC) in exchange for every tank handed over.

Hacker Anonymous trades $44,280 in bitcoin for each Russian surrender tank

The hacking group has amassed more than RUB 1.2 billion ($10.6 million) and gives tank fleets RUB 5 million for each tank that surrenders, Metro reported, citing a local outlet in Ukraine.

Anonymous advises surrendering Russian fighters to use a white flag and the password “million” to show they accept the hacker group’s terms.

“Russian soldiers, everyone who lives with their families and children and does not want to die, the global Anonymous community has raised 1,225,043 RUB in bitcoin to help you.” This group is quoted.

The international hacking group Anonymous is targeting Russian state businesses and websites

The group has previously declared what it calls a “cyber war” against the Russian government.

Since then, the group has targeted state websites and stores of Russian government agencies, state media and banks, as well as websites of Belarusian banks, including Belarusbank, Priorbank and Belinvestbank.

“Global hackers: Attack on Russia and Belarus on behalf of Anonymous. Let them know we don’t forgive, we don’t forget. Anonymous has always possessed the fascists.” the group said in a Twitter post.

Yesterday, this group said it leaked the database of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.

Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister for Digital Transformation, also pointed out the importance of IT activities for Russia. On Saturday he even announced the creation of a telegram channel for the Ukrainian IT army.

“We are building an IT army. We need digital talents.”Fedorov tweeted. “There will be quests for everyone. We continue to fight on the cyber front. The first mission is on the Cyber Expert channel.”

Meanwhile, it is reported that due to low morale and lack of fuel and food, Russian fighters abandoned or even sabotaged their own vehicles to avoid a fight.

The New York Times quoted a senior Pentagon official as saying that some Russian units, having encountered tough Ukrainian defenses, decided to land without a fight.

The report said: “A significant number of Russian troops are young conscripts, poorly trained and unprepared for an all-out attack.” adding that some deliberately punched holes and destroyed their fighting vehicles to avoid fighting.

This may partly explain why Russia’s well-equipped military, consisting of a 40-mile convoy of tanks and armored vehicles near Kyiv, has made little significant progress in recent days.
