According to the Shibburn service’s website, 600,729,245 meme coins have been distributed to various “inferno” crypto addresses since yesterday morning, from which no one may spend or withdraw them. That took the participants five transactions to accomplish.
On that list, the largest single transfer transported 595,232,837 SHIB. This amount in cryptocurrency was sent hours ago from the 0x95a9bd206ae52c4ba8eecfc93d18eacdd41c88cc address to a dead-end wallet.
This large amount of SHIB tokens was burned by Travis Johnson’s SHIB burn games Twitter account on Thursday, March 17,. That was a planned token burn, and the number of meme tokens destroyed was valued $13,356.
During the preceding two days, a far lesser number of SHIB was destroyed – slightly more than 37 million Shiba Inu.
On Wednesday, an unidentified crypto whale acquired a whopping 271,370,420,624 SHIB, which was valued around $6,143,035 at the time of purchase. As of press time, the SHIB price has fallen somewhat, so this figure in SHIB is worth roughly $400,000 less.
SHIB flashed a giant red candle on the hourly chart this morning as it continued to fall, losing about 2% of its value.
Since March 17, when the token reached a local high of $0.00002281, the SHIB price has lost 4.23%, now trading at $0.00002185.
