Azuki, an anime-inspired NFT avatar collection, jumped over 140 % in the last 24 hours to top Friday’s sales volume chart, overtaking Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) and Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC). According to the data of CryptoSlam
Azuki’s sales volume has increased by about 360% in the last week, placing it third in the NFT market. Meebits, an NFT collection owned by BAYC creator Yuga Labs, has seen its sales volume increase by over 1,400%.
Azuki and Meebits are two of the most popular NFT collections, with inflated sales volumes in recent months as a result of wash trading. Still, Azuki has remained competitive against industry leaders such as Bored Apes and CryptoPunks, both of which have seen sales increases since Yuga Labs announced Otherside, it is a gaming and metaverse venture. It can be seen as the Ethereum blockchain’s 8th-most-sold NFT collection of all time.
