Axie Infinity Drops Its Origin Launch Week Now!

On the Sky Mavis official Twitter account, the top blockchain game Axie Infinity has released the Origin launch week today! They give their community a full week events schedule, which reveals the release timing of the gameplay trailer, contest and more. The Axie Infinity: Origin Alpha will go live on April 7 and will be available for download via Mavis Hub.

Origin’s first official gameplay trailer shows off the upgraded Axie art and animations, as well as the new gameplay upgrades, including sequential turns, energy resets, card changes, Eye & Ear cards, Runes/Charms, the new Rage mechanic, and more.

Runes & Charms

Over the next week, they’ll be sharing Runes and Charms from several classes. For the first four announcements, they’ll have some help from a few well-known community members: Ryan | MT8 (axiefaction), Kathleen, ZioAxie, and Kookoo & Myrtle. The final announcements will be made by the winners of the Origin Launch Social Media Contests.

Origin Launch Contest

There are three ways to participate:

Custom Origin Card

• Are you the Axie memelord? Prove it by designing a custom Origin card! They’ll provide you with blank card templates. It’s up to you to get creative! You could revamp an existing ability, create a new OP ability, make a meme card out of your favourite influencer, and more!

Acro Beast Lore

• Think you know the infamous Arco beast better than anyone else? Write a Twitter thread telling them his Origin story! The more detailed, the better.

Starter Axie Cosplay

• No prior cosplay experience? No problem. Everyone’s welcome to muster up their best Puffy, Buba or Olek looks. 

The contest will officially begin tomorrow! To submit, post your content using the hashtag #OriginLaunch on Twitter. The content will be judged by members of the Sky Mavis team. One winner will be chosen and invited to officially leek the Reptile Runes & Charms on Wednesday, April 6!

Origin Preview Stream

Sat, April 2, 10 am EST – Join host Zyori and guests from the Axie team live on the official Axie Twitch account, as they stream an internal gameplay session. This will be your first opportunity to see the completed alpha build live and in action!

On Thursday, April 7 – Origin will be available for download via Mavis Hub!
