His move was signaled last fall when he left the social media giant’s C-suite.
After the shareholders’ meeting on Wednesday, May 25, Jack Dorsey left the board. The withdrawal was planned and came as part of the announcement in November that Dorsey would resign as Twitter CEO.
His resignation came during a period of turmoil for Twitter when billionaire Elon Musk was trying to seize Twitter.
According to the Washington Post, the company’s executives reportedly refused to answer shareholders’ questions about Musk’s deal, saying they would discuss it later. Musk was not at the meeting.
