Zilliqa releases SDK for Unity to onboard developers to Metapolis metaverse.

Zilliqa’s Head of Game Technology, Valentin Cobelea, is leading the launch of the Zilliqa SDK to connect game developers to web3.

The first initiative will allow Unity 3D developers to connect with Zilliqa through blockchain.

Unity 3D SDK

Zilliqa announced its Metaverse as a Service platform, Metapolis, earlier this year, along with information that it will integrate with Unity, Unreal Engine, and Nvidia Omniverse.

Unity is simply the world’s most popular game engine, and it combines many features and is flexible enough to do almost any game you can imagine.

Unity is famous for both hobby developers and AAA studios with cross-platform features. It is used to create games like Pokemon Go, Heathstone, Rimworld, Cuphead, etc.

The unveiling of the official SDK for connecting to Unity 3D shows the dedication of game developers integrated into web3. The SDK (Software Developer Toolkit) is a suite of tools available in a single package designed to streamline development.

The Future of Zilliqa and the Web3

To promote Web3 development, the Web3 Alliance will seek out ideas and opportunities in this space and attract the best projects operating on Zilliqa

Once a project is identified and started, further support will be provided through funding and consultation through outreach to industry experts. All of that will make the idea possible while building a Zilliqa Web3 ecosystem that will cover multiple disciplines, including Metaverse, games, and NFT.

ZILL CEO Dr. Ben Livshits said many projects are considering switching to the blockchain in a press release. But they don’t know about ZILL and how the Web3 Alliance can help them. For that reason, an active reconnaissance network and development process are needed.

The world of blockchain games is quite different from traditional games because the game needs to connect to the blockchain to verify the transactions in the game. The speed and effectiveness of these trades will affect the gameplay if they cannot keep up with the speed of the game engine.

The lag between input and blockchain transaction confirmation has been a significant obstacle in developing a streamlined gaming experience in web games3. Zilliqa can deliver up to 2,500 trades per second with sharding, making it the leading candidate to open Metaverse trends for web3.
