Elon Musk has slammed Dogecoin inventor Jackson Palmer in a series of tweets, praising him for some help he received four years ago.
Musk complained in 2018 about Twitter bots promoting cryptocurrency scams in the comments section of his tweets. Palmer offered to provide a sample of code that would assist him in resolving the issue at the moment.
“Elon has the script… we had a good chat on how @jack and the Twitter team should definitely automate and fix this problem on their end though.” Palmer remarked at the time.
Fast forward to now, and it’s an even more pressing issue for Musk, who is in the process of purchasing Twitter and, as a result, will have the power to make adjustments and seek to resolve such concerns. The acquisition is being held up due to worries that Twitter may have more fake accounts than the social media network acknowledges.
Musk, on the other hand, claims that Palmer’s code was pointless.
“You falsely claimed ur lame snippet of Python gets rid of bots,” said Musk on Twitter. “My kids wrote better code when they were 12 than the nonsense script Jackson sent me.”
Musk made his comments in reaction to a tweet regarding an interview between Palmer and Australian news site Crikey News. At the time of writing, Palmer had not responded to any of the comments.
