During a conversation between Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) and FPT President Truong Gia Binh on June 5, Changpeng Zhao highly appreciated Vietnam’s blockchain and metaverse projects.
During the conversation, Binance CEO and Mr. Zhang Jiaping discussed the future of Blockchain technology and the Metaverse trend. The exchange will be held on June 5, part of a series of activities on the sidelines of the Vietnam Gaming Industry 2022 event, organized by VnExpress and FPT AdTrue in July.
The event takes place in the context that blockchain technology and related applications are developing strongly in Vietnam. The global blockchain market size is valued at $5.92 billion in 2021 and is expected to grow by 85.9% between 2022 and 2030, a Grandview Research report said.
Vietnam is considered a bright spot in the global blockchain field, with many projects that have significantly resonated, including those with billion-dollar market capitalization. However, the development of this technology in Vietnam still has many challenges, such as legal issues, human resources, and implementation costs.
FPT is one of Vietnam’s first and largest technology corporations to participate in this field. Mr. Truong Gia Binh said that the group aims to become a leader in blockchain solutions for businesses. FPT has established Blockchain Lab to build blockchain application platforms and infrastructure for domestic and global companies.
This year, the group aims to deploy a node service infrastructure for public blockchains, continuing to develop the akaChain platform that simplifies the management of private blockchain systems by providing a self-deploying solution. During the dialogue, CZ also shared the government’s policies and committed to the companionship of investors, bringing more success to Asian investors in Blockchain.
CZ highly appreciated Vietnam’s Blockchain projects and said that Vietnamese young people have access to Blockchain “very quickly and deeply”.
Besides, when asked about future development trends, CZ also emphasized that the establishment of Blockchain associations in Vietnam will take place soon, and it will accelerate the development of Blockchain.
“Blockchain has thrived and prospered in Vietnam, and I think this is very natural. The establishment of the Vietnam Blockchain Association is a great sign for the future of Blockchain Vietnam. Vietnam has a lot of potentials, capable of producing good quality blockchain products with specific vision and policies.”
