Telegram Threatened to Hold Crypto World’s “Dirty Secret”

This news is causing a stir in the crypto community, with many warning that this is just a scam.

Telegram voiced correction

On June 8, after receiving information from an anonymous account that unfoundedly claimed they had access to private group chats, Telegram confirmed that no vulnerabilities had been discovered on the network system and claimed it was a scam.

Under the tweed received feedback from users in two directions; one side expressed doubts about the incident, and the other side agreed with Telegram’s opinion and considered the recent incident a joke.

Details of events

As the cryptocurrency market continues to extend its gloomy days, the community has no choice but to entertain themselves with the most fantastic news.

On June 7, on Twitter, a long series of posts by an anonymous account went viral, claiming to be about to publish a large number of messages from famous crypto accounts/groups on the Telegram messaging app, which contains many “heavenly” secrets.

That account claims to have discovered a vulnerability on Telegram three years ago, allowing outsiders to view a group’s messages without having to join that group. This person claims that he collected a lot of data between October 2019 and May 2022 and discovered many unexpected facts in the cryptocurrency industry. Because Telegram has always been a secure messaging app, it has made many people feel confident and comfortable sharing their deepest secrets.

adyingnobody said he was “sick” before he died; he wanted to “cleanse his conscience” by declaring the truth.

This person also threatened that the truth he revealed would cause many projects to collapse due to loss of reputation or being found to be fraudulent. Famous figures would have to resign or publicly apologize to the community.

That character said he would publish 137.21 GB of the above data in 3 batches:

  • June 15: Publishing information about crypto KOLs with less than 1 million followers, with racist or homophobic messages, debauchery, sexual assault, organizing events projects with the intent of rug-pull or community fraud; murder and stealing cryptocurrency
  • June 30: Announcement of project founders in the top 200 by market capitalization, messages about project creation whose purpose from the beginning is to attract money from users, participate in evil and “sick” parties, sexual assault, pedophilia, three assassination attempts, using money to bribe others, asking Twitter employees to delete other people’s accounts, etc.
  • July 7: Announce all remaining information.

adyingnobody says it will release data by sending password-protected .7zip archives. The password will be shared via an Ethereum wallet address posted by this person at the above timelines.

Many figures in the crypto community have expressed doubts about the above statements, most calling this a scam to attract attention or entice unsuspecting people to download malicious file device intrusion. However, some people think that because of the specificity of the above disclosures and the fact that the crypto industry is full of scams and tricks, the above information may be partly accurate. There is even a trend when many anonymous Twitter accounts post “disclaimer” messages, claiming to have nothing to do with the information to be released.

However, all inferences at the moment are just speculation and will have to wait until June 15, when adyingnobody posts the first series of information, to see if this person’s words are actual.
