Hyundai Card, a Korean credit card company, has announced the launch of an NFT marketplace and wallet. The company’s name is “Modern Lion.” Like Lion, the creators of MetaKongz and Syltare, joined with the firm.
“We will try our best to make Modern Lion become an influential NFT player and win an outstanding status in the global market,” said Lee Doo-hee, CEO of Like Lion.
Hyundai Card plans to develop a local programming education company in addition to establishing an NFT trading platform. They also want to create an NFT collection based on the company’s assets. NFTs will be sourced and the platform will be managed by Lion.
“Hyundai Card and Like Lion will do their utmost to maximize synergies by garnering all their capabilities,” said Chung Tae-young, Vice Chairman and CEO of Hyundai.
The NFT platform and wallet are expected to be available by the end of 2022.
Hyundai is branching out into the NFT and Metaverse worlds. The firm has already announced many planned NFT-based musical and cultural performances, as well as a number of blockchain-powered enterprises. Hyundai Card also has its own Twitter account, which is only available in Korean.
