What is Frax (FXS)?
Frax is the first fractional stablecoin system. Frax is an open source, permissionless, and fully on-chain stablecoin – currently deployed on Ethereum (possibly cross-chain deployment in the future). Frax's goal is to be able to provide a highly scalable, decentralized cryptocurrency in place of fixed-supply digital assets like BTC.

How does Frax work?
The FRAX protocol is a combination of the following concepts:
Fractional-Algorithmic – Frax is a single stablecoin with parts of the supply backed by collateral and parts of the supply algorithm. The mortgage rate and algorithm depend on the market price of FRAX. If FRAX is trading above $1, the protocol will reduce the collateralization rate. If FRAX is trading at less than $1, the protocol increases the collateralization rate.
Decentralized & Governance-minimized: Managed and characterized by an automated algorithmic approach without proactive management.
On-chain Oracles (Frax v1) using Uniswap (ETH, USDT, USDC time-average price) and Chainlink (USD price).
Two Tokens: With a model of 2 tokens that complement each other, Frax is a project that is said to have a different approach than all other algorithmic stablecoins When FRAX is more stable, the supply of FXS will be reduced (price may increase) and once FRAX decreases in value, the supply of FXS will increase (price may decrease).
Swaps – based on monetary policy: Frax uses principles from automated market makers like Uniswap to create swap-based price discovery incentives and real-time stability through spreads price.
