Shiden Network (SDN)

What is Shiden Network?

Shiden Network is also known as a multi-chain Smart Contract on the Kusama network. The project is built on the Substrate Framework so it can be Parachain from scratch on Kusama. Shiden Network acts as an R&B chain of Plasm Network, supporting Ethereum Virtual Machine, WebAssembly and Layer 2 solutions. At the same time, the platform also supports other applications such as Defi, NFT, etc.

Besides, Shiden Network intends to act like “Canary Network” for Plasm, Polkadot’s partner built on the same team. This means that the platform makes early code releases available before they are launched on Plasm

Basic Functions of Shiden Network

The Plasm Network development team will launch Shiden Network as soon as possible so that we can test some of the following functions:

Parachain Slot Auction: One of the first goals of Shiden Network was to become Kusama Parachain. The Shiden Network platform will distribute 30% of SDN's Total Supply to KSM Crowdloan participants.

• At the same time, Lockdrops participants on Plasm Network can also receive SDN at Block Genesis in a 1:1 ratio.
• Plasm Network Portal: This portal is a tool for dApps and PLM Holder developers to stake PLM, earn PLM deploy apps.
• Ethereum Bridge: Plasm Network has implemented Ethereum, ECDSA, Ethereum RPC virtual machines, integrating MetaMask, Truffle and Remix platforms.

Not stopping there, Plasm Network also works on the Ethereum bridge so that Plasm Network becomes a blockchain with Layer 2 protocols compatible with Ethereum.

Compatibility with Ethereum is not unique as any Parachains are allowed to be deployed by importing Parity Frontier, similar to Acala and Moonbeam.

• dApp Staking (Basic Source of Income for Developers): SDN token holders can stake their tokens on favorite dApps so that both nominees and dApps developers can SDN token searchable.
• Multi Vitural Machine: Shiden Network supports both EVM and WASM. Through cross-VM communication, EVM contracts can interact with WASM contracts in the Shiden Network ecosystem.
