Worldcoin just announced its extension in the deadline for WLD grant reservation redemption. A little while after its launch in July 2023, the Worldcoin Foundation introduced WLD grant reservations, which allowed people without a verified World ID to reserve WLD tokens for future redemption.
Initiative to Maximize Participation in Worldcoin Project
According to the statement, that was supposed to be a way to get as much participation as possible in the Worldcoin project, irrespective of the availability of the orb.
The tokens at that time were reserved for a year so that everyone could see and identify their World ID and make WLD grant reservations. For those who began reserving tokens shortly after the launch, the redemption deadline arrived in July 2024.

Worldcoin WLD Claim Deadline Extended to 2025
However, Worldcoin has now added another year to its timeline. All WLD grant reservations made between July 24, 2023, and July 31, 2024, are now valid and redeemable until July 31, 2025.
With this extension, participants will have more time to verify their World ID and secure reserved WLD tokens. New reservations will continue to be available until July 31, 2024.
