Mina looks to avoid this limitation by utilizing what the team calls a succinct blockchain that requires a constant amount of time and data to verify the current world state (20 kilobytes/10 milliseconds).</p>

     What Is Mina Protocol’s Main Objective?

     Mina is working on achieving an efficient distributed payment system that enables users to natively verify the platform right from the genesis block. Its technical whitepaper calls this a “succinct blockchain.”

     The protocol uses Zero-Knowledge Succinct Non-Interactive Arguments of Knowledge (zk-SNARKs), a cryptographic proof that enables someone to authenticate information without revealing said information. However, enabling a user to trace the platform back to its genesis block can be impractical in a large network. As such, Mina incrementally computes SNARKS that concentrate only on the last few blocks — meaning that end-users check that zk-SNARK-compressed proof, instead of a block’s entire transaction history.

     Block producers take the form of stakers or miners and earn block rewards and transaction fee payments. Interestingly, the protocol doesn’t slash incentives that go to block producers. This category of participants allows Mina users to delegate their coins to them.

     Apart from bundling transactions into blocks, block producers also have to SNARK an equivalent number of previously committed trades as failure to do so during block production would lead to incomplete blocks and other nodes rejecting their validity.

     If a block producer wants to incorporate 10 transactions on the chain, they must also SNARK trades from the front of the queue. However, they have the option to produce the SNARK or use those generated by a special group of participants called snarkers.

     Snarkers, also known as provers, produce zk-SNARKs used in verifying transactions.

    <p>
     Block producers pay snarkers from the overall transaction fees they receive for adding new blocks. However, to qualify for the fees, they have to post bids. Note that a snarker’s zk-SNARK needs to be used in a block while the block producer who uses it is responsible for incentivizing the snarker.

     This creates a business economy where multiple snarkers can post bids tied to the same transaction. Block producers, on the other hand, are in for the profits and will choose the bid with the lowest fees. Consequently, snarkers are challenged to produce low-cost SNARKS.

     How Transactions Happen On Mina
    </h2>
    <p>
     The process starts with a user initiating a transaction, after which the trade goes to the mempool, a pool of valid but unconfirmed transactions.

     Next, snarkers take over by making proofs or SNARKS. The process follows with the selection of a block producer (BP) to bundle transactions into a block. Note that a BP sifts through the mempool for profitable transactions.

     Then, the BP chooses a SNARK according to the rules in the consensus mechanism.

    <p>
     Note that a block producer scans through the bids for the lowest-priced SNARK. In addition, recently added transactions have an updated SNARKS order book.

     Next, it’s time to incorporate the SNARKS in a block, then add the block to the chain and update the network. Snarked transactions are removed from the chain to help keep the size of the protocol constant.

      What Is Radicle (RAD)?

      is an open-source protocol enabling developers to collaborate in a peer-to-peer and decentralized manner. Similar to centralized code collaboration platforms like GitHub and GitLab, developers can collaborate to code and build

      on it. That happens through Radicle’s peer-to-peer replication protocol called Radicle Link.
     </p>

      Radicle Link retains the efficiency of Git while offering global decentralized data repository storage through its peer-to-peer networking layer. Users can spread data through “gossip,” meaning they retain redundant copies on their computers and share local data with the network. Furthermore, users can fund and manage software projects started by others. This pick-and-match type of collaboration, where users host their own content, and content they find interesting, is what Radicle calls “bazaar-style” collaboration.

      The Beta Release of Radicle was in November 2020 and supported MacOS and Linux. In February 2021, Radicle released an

      Who Are the Founders of Radicle?

     <p>
      Radicle was developed by Monadic, a Berlin-based software company working on open-source software collaboration. Monadic stresses that the company doesn’t own Radicle and that Radicle is an open-source project anyone can use, modify, and contribute to. While Monadic was founded in 2017, development on Radicle began in 2018. Nomadic is headed by Alexis Sellier and Eleftherios Diakomichalis.

      In 2021, the project raised $12 million in a seed funding round led by NFX and Galaxy, with funds like Placeholder, Electric Capital, ParaFi Capital, and others participating.

      Radicle stands out from its centralized counterparts by offering a global and permissionless network that does not rely on third parties and has no centralized point of failure. Thanks to Radicle’s peer-to-peer nature and public-key cryptography, it is trustless by design - unlike centralized platforms relying on UI components and oracles.

<p><strong>Moonriver&nbsp;</strong>is an Ethereum-compatible, smart-contract parachain on Kusama. It is intended to be a companion network to Moonbeam, where it will provide a permanently incentivized canary network. New code will ship to Moonriver first, where it can be tested and verified under real economic conditions. Once proven, the same code will ship to Moonbeam on Polkadot.</p>
<p>It does this by providing a full EVM implementation, a Web3-compatible API, and bridges that connect Moonriver to existing Ethereum networks.</p>
<p>This allows developers to deploy existing Solidity smart contracts and DApp frontends to Moonriver with minimal changes.</p>

<p>At least 5 MOVR tokens can be staked in the network. The payout time is divided into 2 rounds, each round has a total of 300 blocks and takes about 1 hour.</p>
<p>Rewards will be given to the Colator and the Nominator. The employee generates blocks and collects transactions from users to generate evidence that is passed on to the validation process. The nominees are MOVR holders &ndash; those who use their tokens in the Moonriver network.</p>
<p>The reward is awarded to the employee with an annual inflation rate of 20%. In the meantime, the nominee will be offered different rewards proportional to the number of&nbsp;<a href="https://news.coincu.com/">tokens</a>&nbsp;used in the nominee&rsquo;s reward pool.</p>

<p>Owner MOVR has the right to manage Moonriver Network. They can submit their proposals, organize referendums, set start times for public referendums, accelerate voting phases, set blocking and end times and delegate their voting rights to another account.</p>
<p><strong>Treasury</strong></p>
<p>The network sets up a community fund to support board-approved proposals and receives grants from a percentage of the network&rsquo;s transaction fees. What is unique about this feature is that each network on Moonbeam has a personalized till that makes it easier to manage and allocate funds for board-approved proposals.</p>

<p>Moonriver provides an environment to test new code under real economic conditions. New code ships to Moonriver first, where it can be tested and verified. Once proven, the same code ships to Moonbeam on Polkadot.</p>
<p>Although Moonriver shares much of its codebase with Moonbeam once they&rsquo;re both launched, Moonriver will continue to live on as a parachain on Kusama, with its own projects and specialized use cases.</p>
<p>In August 2021, Moonriver officially became a parachain on the Kusama network.</p>
<p><strong>Moonriver is an easy route to Kusama Relay Chain.&nbsp;</strong>It allows teams and developers, who are familiar with Ethereum, access to the Kusama Network with little or no barriers. It minimizes the changes required to run existing Solidity smart contracts on the network. Therefore, Ethereum projects can simply replicate their DApp and deploy it to Moonriver using popular deployment tools.</p>
