Verdict

Binance.US competes on one thing: spot fees. Flat 0% maker pricing for every user is hard to match among US-licensed venues, and zero-fee ACH in and out keeps the fiat cost clean. For a US trader in a supported state who wants cheap spot execution under domestic licensing, that combination is a winner. The trust picture carries real caveats. No user-verifiable proof of reserves exists, the SEC filed a civil enforcement action in June 2023 that was dismissed with prejudice in May 2025, and USD access was suspended during a 2023 banking disruption before being restored in February 2025. Neither event permanently damaged the platform, but both show more sensitivity to regulatory and banking-partner pressure than most US peers. Use Binance.US if you are in a supported state and want the lowest US spot fees available. Skip it if you need futures, live in an unsupported state, or want a cleaner regulatory and transparency record.

Pros
  • Taker fees to 0.02%+ from trade one, no minimums
  • Zero-fee ACH both ways since USD return Feb 2025
  • Issues Form 1099-DA, so spot is pre-reported
  • REST & WebSocket APIs follow Binance conventions
Cons
  • No futures, options, or margin trading
  • Not available in NY, TX, WA, OH, OR & more
  • No user-verifiable proof of reserves
  • High account-freeze complaint volume
