The Italian luxury fashion house is continuing to venture further into Web3 and increasing its presence in the decentralized economy, through a partnership agreement with NFT exchange SuperRare.
Gucci invested $25,000 for the opportunity to join SuperRareDAO and collaborated with this unit to launch the online exhibition “Vault Art Space”, entitled “The Next 100 Years of Gucci”. It will display a range of artworks and NFTs by 29 artists that Gucci considers the legacy and future of the fashion house. Vault Art will be auctioned directly on the fashion brand website.
Vault CEO Nicolas Oudinot shared:
“We approached SuperRare for this knowing we could rely on our mutual effort to amplify the vision of this multifaceted group of artists.”
This is also the first time this luxury fashion house has joined a DAO organization and has an administrative role in the SuperRare community. Both are considering the acquisition of a DAO and this initiative will most likely be the first shot for many other big players.
