Near Protocol Cooperates With Google Cloud, Strengthens Technical Upgrade

Google Cloud and Near Protocol have announced a new relationship that will provide infrastructure for Near’s Web3 startup platform, Pagoda.

Pagoda is a startup platform that was launched in February 2022 to give Web3 developers developing on Near a full-stack toolset for building, launching, and maintaining their Web3 applications or decentralized applications (dApps) on the blockchain.

According to a statement made on October 4, this collaboration would enable Google Cloud to give technical assistance to Near award recipients by providing infrastructure for Near’s Remote Procedure Call node provider to Pagoda.

Near Protocol is a dApp framework that focuses on the developer and user usability. It uses sharding technology to ensure scalability and, like Ethereum, is a proof-of-stake blockchain with smart contracts.

Carlos Arena, director of digital assets at Google Cloud, said in a statement:

“We will be supporting NEAR and giving Web3 developers the most secure, reliable, and sustainable cloud infrastructure on which they can build and scale. We continue to support tomorrow’s leaders in creating new products and services on blockchain-based platforms.”

Google Cloud established a similar deal with Binance’s smart contract blockchain platform BNB Chain in September, allowing entrepreneurs creating goods and services on the BNB Chain blockchain to also build on the service’s scalable, secure, and open-source infrastructure.
