According to Reuters, Bankman-Fried left the Monday hearing in Nassau in a black vehicle labeled “Corrections” and indicated that the former of FTX could return to court this week.
A month after the cryptocurrency exchange he founded sought bankruptcy protection, U.S. authorities last week charged Bankman-Fried. In the indictment, Bankman-Fried was charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud on customers, conspiracy to commit wire fraud on lenders, conspiracy to commit commodities fraud, conspiracy to commit securities fraud, conspiracy to commit money laundering, and conspiracy to defraud the United States and violate campaign finance laws.
