Key Points:
Today, Jan. 23, 2023, Mr. Cronje took to Twitter to disappoint every crypto enthusiast who is waiting for the “next big thing” to be revealed by the “DeFi Father” on his Twitter account.
Because Mr. Cronje is convinced of the value of “expectation management” in fostering community, he made it clear that he wouldn’t be making any more announcements about Fantom (FTM) and his involvement in the project.
He denied employing “reverse psychology,” a complex tactic that entails supporting an action that is contrary to the desired result. Mr. Cronje emphasized that he will concentrate on “discussing progress” rather than making any “big” announcements. It’s interesting to note that he had stated six weeks prior that individuals who invited him to conferences should not wait for “announcements” or “hype.”
He vowed to instead discuss his opinions on “boring” subjects like derisking, L1 scaling, gas subsidies, gas monetization, FVM, FTM Substrates, and so on. However, this assertion enthused his Twitter followers about the technological possibilities of Fantom (FTM).
Jared Grey of Sushi specifically stated that he would be paying great attention to Cronje’s actions: I appreciate the focus. FTM, keep up the fantastic work. Additionally, several Fantom (FTM) supporters acknowledged that this would cause the FTM coin to pump. FTM increased by 7% in a matter of seconds in response to this statement.
