Brother Machi Drops Defamation Lawsuit Against Crypto Analyst ZachXBT

Key Points:

  • Brother Machi drops his lawsuit against ZachXBT, opting for an amicable settlement.
  • Huang acknowledges changes to the article, and both parties are thankful for community backing.
  • ZachXBT to refund unused legal defense donations, highlighting resolution over conflict. The withdrawal signals a shift from confrontation to key in the crypto dispute.
Cryptocurrency analyst ZachXBT has revealed that Jeffrey Huang, known as “Brother Machi,” has made the decision to voluntarily withdraw his defamation lawsuit.

In a recent announcement, ZachXBT shared that he had updated his article with additional context and personal insights from Machi, leading to a resolution between the two parties.

The legal avenue, which was pursued as a last resort, has been abandoned, and gratitude has been expressed to the community for their donations and support throughout the process.

Huang had taken legal action against ZachXBT earlier this year after the analyst alleged embezzlement of 22,000 ETH from crypto management firm Formosa Financial.

In response, Huang filed a defamation lawsuit against ZachXBT, leading to a prolonged investigation and public dispute.

The friction between the two individuals had escalated over time, with Huang attempting to resolve the matter peacefully after extensive investigations into ZachXBT’s identity. The lawsuit, filed in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas, garnered financial backing from various industry players.

However, Huang acknowledged that ZachXBT’s contributions to the crypto community were valuable and that pursuing legal action was not the optimal path.

With key amendments made to the article and mutual understanding reached, the lawsuit has been dropped. ZachXBT affirmed his intention to return any unused funds donated to support his legal defense.
