Nike and RTFKT Self-Updating Clone Project

World-renowned sportswear brand NIKE will be releasing updated specimens this year along with their own NFT studio RTFKT.

Self-updating clone project by Nike and RTFKT

RTFKT, a premier NFT studio, made headlines with its M&A deal with sportswear manufacturer Nike. This is a project that Nike has prepared for 2022.

Artist Head reported on the interesting project being exhibited by RTFK on his Twitter account this year. Introducing the CloneX collection created in collaboration with artist Takashi Murakami.

Nathan Head tagged the RTFK studio on Twitter and tweeted:

“@RTFKStudios Why am I bullish on CLONE X?”

It should be noted that the studio will initially be releasing updated digital avatars for its various metaverses. As 3D replicas, models with updated parameters are available for download in various formats. This year, the studio is planning an event to showcase a collection of physical products. RTFK previously released a shoe collection for $3,000, $5,000, and $10,000 respectively.

Finally, the RTFKT team is preparing to open its own market for digital collectibles. This platform allows NFT enthusiasts to customize their copies, make purchases for them, and interact with other users.

There are no limits to the development of RFTK

The RTFKT marketplace for digital products aims to breathe new life into the next generation of clones. It will function as a peer-to-peer marketplace for digital devices. At press time, RTFKT’s CloneX Mintvial collection is available on leading NFT marketplace OpenSea. The only item available for purchase was listed with a reserve price of approximately $36,000.

RTFKT Studio was acquired by Nike on December 14, 2021. The terms of the partnership will be kept strictly confidential.

In May, RFTK raised $8 million in seed funding. VC heavyweight legend Andreessen Horowitz led the tour and her RTFKT rating rose to $33.3 million.
