Ethereum whales go shopping and spend $14 million on MANA, SAND and CQT.

A crypto whale bought three altcoins worth over $14 million after a string of previous purchases.

Whales spend $14 million on MANA, SAND and CQT

The third largest Ethereum whale wallet called Light has launched another round of buying, adding three altcoins for a total price of $14.1 million.

According to data from WhaleStats, a blockchain transaction tracker that tracks the richest Ethereum wallet addresses and their activity, Light Wallet recently bought around 642,999 MANA worth $1,845,409.

MANA is the native token of the Ethereum-based 3D virtual reality play-to-earn game Decentraland and is currently trading at $2.72 per unit.

The whale also bought the native token of blockchain-based virtual world The Sandbox, adding approximately 426,000 SAND worth $2,044,800 in the initial purchase and later adding another 1,703,978 SAND for a whopping $8,179,094.

SAND is currently trading at $4.17 at press time.

In the end, Light Wallet bought about 3,090,000 CQT for $2,039,319.

CQT is Covalent Network’s native token that provides a set of application programming interfaces that allow developers to pull data from some of the leading blockchain platforms. It is currently trading at $0.6.

Not the first time

The recent purchases made by this whale wallet are not surprising as it has been making similar transactions for the past few weeks.

The light wallet, which currently holds a combined value of more than $4.3 billion in digital assets, began its latest round of purchases last week.

Whales bought GALA worth over $1.1 million, OMG worth over $2.45 million, LINK worth over $24.1 million, and the biggest purchase was Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC) worth 86, 4 million dollars.
