Brazilian soccer legend Ronaldinho announced that he has partnered with the New Word Graph blockchain. The famous soccer player becomes the official global ambassador of the blockchain project.
Graph Blockchain’s subsidiary New World Inc. recently met with soccer star Ronaldinho. Ronaldo de Assis Moreira, better known as Ronaldinho, has signed an agreement with Canadian blockchain startup New World as a result of negotiations.
The 41-year-old Brazilian soccer player will play a key role in the company’s efforts to launch the NFT platform. With this new project, the former FC Barcelona player becomes the official global ambassador of the blockchain project. It’s not yet clear when the 2005 Ballon d’Or holder will take up his post as New World’s Official Ambassador, but with the deal, the soccer star will bring exclusive events and NFT experiences to millions of people.
The company has reportedly produced numerous digital collections for many celebrities, including Drake and Fetty Wap. Ronaldinho said of the partnership:

The global growth of the NFT market has been truly amazing and the platform allows fans to interact with their favorite athletes, artists and stars like never before.”
“We are delighted to welcome Ronaldinho as our global ambassador. The exceptional accessibility and notoriety that Ronaldinho brings will take the New World to the next level.”
As part of the transaction, the company will issue 4 million shares subject to regulatory approvals, including the Canadian Stock Exchange (CSE).
This isn’t the first time blockchain or crypto-focused projects have signed a deal with a sports star as a global ambassador. Last year, crypto exchange FTX named MLB star Shohei Ohtani as its global ambassador.
New World is an augmented reality art focused NFT company that gives creators, musicians and celebrities access to the NFT distribution framework to create and sell digital art.
