Circle launches support for Polygon USDC stablecoin on its payments platform

Cirlce is a payment platform and a stablecoin issuer that currently supports polygon USD coin (USDC), thus enabling seamless trading for stablecoin customers.

Polygon USDC is a crazy head bridge of stablecoins supported on its platform. The bridge in cryptocurrencies involves the transfer of coins originating from one blockchain chain to another or Layer-2 network through a bridge.

This means that Circle users can use USDC transactions without having to pay any additional transaction fees when switching from Ethereum to Polygon.

The usdc bridge from Ethereum to Polygon was possible through the existing bridge service of the latter. However, this transfer process can take up to 10 minutes. However, if polygon USDC is turned on on the Circle Account, users will be able to convert fiat deposits to stablecoins within seconds.

USDC, a stablecoin issued by Circle, is the second largest stable currency in the cryptocurrency space with a market capitalization of around $53.7M.
