Rwanda has taken a cautious but open approach to crypto. The National Bank of Rwanda (BNR) and the Capital Market Authority (CMA Rwanda) have acknowledged crypto as an emerging asset class without banning it. Rwanda is developing a fintech ecosystem as part of its Vision 2050 goals. Rwanda is also exploring blockchain use for land registry and government services.
