CFTC Orders BitMEX Operators to Pay Million Penalty for Illegally Operating Cryptocurrency Derivatives Trading Platform

The CFTC ordered BitMEX (100x Group, HDR Global Trading, ABS Global Trading, and Shine Effort) and its founders to pay 100 million USD in civil monetary penalties for operating an unregistered crypto derivatives trading platform and for AML/KYC violations.
