  • Service expands UAE’s crypto ecosystem under strong regulatory oversight and security.

UAE telecom provider du has launched Cloud Miner, the country’s first regulated cloud-based crypto mining service. The platform enables UAE residents to mine Bitcoin without owning or managing physical hardware.

Revealed on November 2, 2025, at the Burj Khalifa, the service is offered under du’s “Tech” sub-brand and is available exclusively to verified UAE residents. Users can subscribe to mining contracts via an online auction at onlineauction.ae, running from November 3 to 9.

Each contract offers 250 terahashes per second (TH/s) of mining capacity with a 24-month lock-in period. Customers pay fixed, transparent fees and begin mining immediately after completing their subscription.

The service runs on du’s local data centres and includes mandatory KYC, AML, and UAE Pass verification, ensuring compliance with national regulatory frameworks. Two-factor authentication is also required to secure account access.

Du says Cloud Miner eliminates technical barriers by handling infrastructure, electricity, and hardware maintenance on behalf of users. According to Chief ICT Officer Jasim Al Awadi, the offering lowers entry barriers for individuals looking to participate in the digital asset economy.

Adoption Signals Expansion as UAE Pushes Digital Finance Regulations

Cloud Miner positions itself as a UAE-based alternative to global crypto-mining services while complying with local oversight. Du plans to expand offerings based on user adoption and demand growth across the sector.

Al Awadi confirmed the company will introduce new features, including a Bitcoin calculator showing monthly earnings and value projections. He noted, “Whatever technology evolution will come… we always evolve our services to fit our clients.”
