Moonbirds NFT Sales Were Down $460 Million In June
Due to a decrease in investor interest, Moonbirds was one of the NFT projects that was most severely impacted by the NFT market downturn in June.
With a total sales volume of almost $562.95 million, Moonbirds is one of the top 10 best-selling digital collections of all time. In June, the Moonbirds NFTs’ revenues totaled around $15.43 million.
Although it appears low, this value was higher than the monthly sales for Meebits, Bored Ape Kennel Club, and Axie Infinity. However, it fell short in sales for Otherdeeds, Mutant Ape Yacht Club, and Bored Ape Yacht Club.
In addition, June’s sales volume was down 72% from May’s. Sales of Moonbirds were somewhere about $56.1 million in May.
On April 16, 2022, media startup Proof launched Moonbirds NFT. A venture capitalist named Kevin Rose started this business. Similar to previous initiatives, the NFTs project offers 10,000 owl avatars for sale on OpenSea, the largest NFT marketplace.
When comparing the drop in sales volume from June to the drop in the number of unique purchasers, the digital collectable saw a reduction in transaction counts of 467 unique buyers and 612 transactions.
In comparison to April 2022, the first month of Moonbirds’ sales, there were 11,741 unique purchasers, which equated to 15,909 transactions. The NFT had revenues of about $485.22 million in April.
Sales volume decreased by $469.8 million as a result of transactions under $10 million. The average sale price in June was $25,205, a 17% decrease from the $30,500 average in April.
