Brazil XP is the latest financial company in the country to offer customers the ability to trade cryptocurrencies, with the Xtage platform launching today. The platform uses Nasdaq technology.
With the introduction of its platform Xtage, major Brazilian broker XP is the most recent financial institution in the nation to give its clients the option to trade cryptocurrencies.
XP executives announced that the platform is now available for customers of its mobile app who want to trade bitcoin and ether as they rung the opening bell of the Nasdaq exchange in New York.
According to Xtage CEO Marcos Horie, XP customers will be able to trade cryptocurrencies using the same software they currently use. According to Horie, the business had “loads of requests” from its customers to begin investing in cryptocurrencies within the XP ecosystem because they wanted to collaborate with a business where they already had the majority of their investments.
With more than 3.6 million active users, XP originally revealed its intentions to introduce Xtage in May.
