According to VentureBeat, the first NFT collection to be minted on Efinity, an NFT parachain built on Polkadot (DOT), is the “MetaHome” NFT collection.
According to MyMetaverse, these initial in-game NFTs can be utilized in any of MyMetaverse’s games, including the Minecraft and GTA5 servers that users host for one another. Furthermore, MyMetaverse stated that following the launch, the NFTs would each serve a distinct purpose in the three distinct games. The firm said:
“The NFTs have been minted on Efinity and can be incorporated in MyMetaverse Grand Theft Auto and Minecraft gaming servers. In Infinity Auto, a MyMetaverse Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 5 server, they take the form of a rare vehicle; in Survival Infinity, a MyMetaverse Minecraft server, they become a special sword. In answer to your question, they are not official integrations with Rockstar or Minecraft.”
MyMetaverse is one of the ecosystem partners with early access to make NFTs available on Efinity. A wide range of initiatives is now awaiting onboarding in the coming weeks.
Enjin and Efinity have achieved a critical milestone with the launch of NFTs on Efinity, a scalable, decentralized, cross-chain network designed to make NFTs available to everyone.
